a unique performance involving

Scarabeus Aerial Theatre and the Candoco Dance Company have teamed up with award-winning children’s writer Nicky Singer and young composer Jude Obermüller to devise HEARTLAND – a modern re-telling of the Minotaur/Icarus legends. To celebrate the opening of Platform there will be two performances of the show 22nd and 23rd July.
Jude’s new composition, written especially for these performances, features two choirs – an adult choir and a children’s choir. It lasts about 10 minutes and will be sung in performance as all the performers process from Platform (Hornsey Road Baths) to the centre of the Andover Estate where a ‘flying’ stage will be created to house the final moments of the performance.
